About Me

Marija Obradovic is a Serbian-born dancer, choreographer, and teacher who brings psychological depth and fearless physicality to her work in New York City.

For six years, Marija commanded the stage as Lady Macbeth in Punchdrunk’s critically acclaimed Sleep No More (2018-2024), embodying the role with visceral intensity in one of New York’s most iconic immersive productions. As a company member with Shannon Gillen’s Vim Vigor Dance (2017-2022), she performed in Forever (2019) and Together is close enough (2021), while sharing her artistry as a teacher and choreographic collaborator at prestigious institutions including Juilliard School, Princeton University, Barnard College, b12 Festival in Berlin, and Springboard Danse Montreal.

Her performance work spans companies including Mova Theater, Kizuna Dance, Soluq Dance Theater, Jin Ju Song Begin, and Perpetuum Dance, and she has trained under renowned choreographers Maxine Doyle and Michael Getman as an alumna of Springboard Danse Montreal (2017).

As a choreographer, Marija creates work for both screen and stage that explores the intersection of movement, narrative, and psychological landscape. Her solo choreography earned recognition at the XXIV Festival of Choreographic Miniatures in Belgrade (2021).

Marija holds a BA in Clinical Psychology from the University of Belgrade, bringing unique insight into the emotional and psychological dimensions of performance and movement.
